Nanjing European Scientific & Technological Industrial Park

It is located in the NHZ, and is China's first scientific & technological industrial park oriented to introducing the European businessmen to invest. Due to its special advantages, the Ministry of Foreign Economics and Trade, the State Commission of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Government and Nanjing Municipal Government have paid great attention to its construction and development, and given it a lot of supports. The European Union has sent the commissioners to visit Nanjing European Scientific & Technological Industrial Park, and considered that the Park is capable of cooperating with the Europe. Mr. Jacques VALADE , President of Aquitaine Region ( Régional d'Aquitaine ), France and vice-president of the French Senate House had, leading a group, paid a special visit to Jiangsu, and made an on-the-spot investigation of Nanjing European Scientific & Technological Industrial Park, and had signed a Cooperation Memorandum with Zheng Silin, Governor of Jiangsu Province. The Park has also forged a business tie with Aquitaine Bureau of Economic Development ( Direction de l'Animation Economique du Conseil, Régional d'Aquitaine ), France, and both Parties have signed a Cooperation Memorandum. On September 4, 1997, President Jacques VALADE had again come to the NHZ to inspect the work done by the Park. Moreover, the Park has signed the Cooperation Memorandums with the Andalucia Technology Park ( Parque Technológico de Andalucía, S.A.), Spain; the Brussel Technology Park ( Bruxelles-Technopole ), Belgium; and the scientific & technological industry parks in Holland. Finland, and German. At present, there have been established in the Park the European enterprises: such famous transnational corporations as Siemens (German), Ericsson (Sweden), and AKZO (Netherlands), etc..

The businessmen from all countries in Europe are welcome to Nanjing European Scientific & Technological Industrial Park, to cooperatively set up the scientific & technological industry parks; to set up the enterprises in the NHZ in the modes of wholly foreign-owned enterprises, Joint-Venture Companies, and Sino-foreign cooperative enterprises; to engage in diversified forms of investment and cooperation in properties, such as the compensation trade, processing with customer's materials, developing the land in batches, house property development; as well as purchasing, contracting for and leasing the enterprises and so on, which are allowed by the laws and regulations.
